    How do you feel

    November 4th, 2008 at 2:08 pm  0 comments.

The New York Times has this fine animated visualization of the one word answers of how they feel this election day.

See also twistori for emotions from twitter and wefeelfine for the same in the world of blogs.

The understated simplicity of this navigation, feeling around in the dark so to speak, is very compelling to me.

    Imaginary Friends

    October 29th, 2008 at 9:47 am  0 comments.

Creating an imaginary friend allows you to see your friends content within friendfeed even if they don’t use friendfeed. I can’t decide if it is a cheap version of data portability (good) or an additional layer to add to social network fatigue. If widely implemented you may find yourself managing your imaginary friends as you would your real or fake friends.

    Amazon Windowshop Beta

    October 27th, 2008 at 8:43 pm  1 comment.

Windowshop lets you browse the New, Bestselling and Editor picks from Amazon. Features a fast arrow key interface. Previews in place with video or Audio (!) for books. Pretty nice.

    Past and Present photo comparison

    October 24th, 2008 at 3:28 pm  0 comments.

The accompanying photo to an article on the GM building plaza and its relatively new occupant, the 5th Avenue Apple store had this unique feature. Rather than have two photographs side by side to indicate the “look how much it has changed” the photograph is split and you are given a handle to move the window shade down to reveal the past or up to expose the present.
